I hate that the Barker kid got hurt, but it will hopefully get us away from the jumbo two tightend set. IMO itll help us to change it up a bit. Unions passing game has won all of its games for real. Passing against Lee for the yards needed to drive in that last run on a 4th and 7. All we did against Lebanon was pass pretty much. Something like 200 pluse passing yards, and ofcourse overtime 4 and 3 touchdown pass against VHS. The pass isnt a bad thing for Union.

Union is a decent overall team but I wasn't impressed with their defense or their "balanced offense". They run the ball very well but their passing game really lost the game for them tonight. Good job Clintwood you finally showed some heart on the field tonight.

You are spot on. The passing game got us beat. Union had no reason to come out in the spread and start throwing the ball. If it aint broke dont fix it. Union was running the ball well enough to hold on to the lead and wouldnt have thrown three interceptions if they were running. As far as the Defense goes, I hate that defense Union is trying to run. the 4 3 or 4 4 is the best high school defense to run IMO with the type of players Union has. This leaving 3 to 4 gaps open for 2 linebackers to cover aint gonna cut it

Yeah I was really suprised to see Union come out in the spread just being down by 2 points. Especially with the weather conditions (not terrible but just bad enough for the ball and field to be a little slippery). It was kinda like they panicked without any reason to. Just run your power running game and hold on to the football. But I do congratulate the Union team on being a class act. Very good sportsmanship. Good luck the rest of the season.
